In this role,
- You will be the thought leader offering your vision and leadership to Srijan in its aspiration to become a global technology services company
- You’ll grow this open source technology services business to $1 million within the financial year 2010-2011, from its current, roughly, $0.5 million
- You would define the marketing and sales strategy for Srijan globally, including setting up sales offices in various regions, and perhaps even leading operations from one of these regions
- You will be the agent for transformation for branding Srijan among the leading open source technology services company, at par with other brands in this space
- You would be the flag-bearer of Srijan’s people oriented ‘core ideology’ in national and international fora
- You would be a key stakeholder and thought leader in determining the future direction for Srijan, in terms of leading it to an IPO, or otherwise

Requirements
- 6 to 12 Years of sales and marketing experience at least 4 years of the past job experiences in the Internet or technology services industries, preferably with some experience leading marketing operations in a startup
- Should have deep understanding and appreciation for open source software philosophy
- Strong experience in promoting Web2.0 and Internet marketing related services
- Up-to-date contacts with in an industry, relationship within business community & and keen knowledge of industry players in Indian and USA markets
- Proven track record of successfully growing businesses sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Ability to articulate core message while developing world class marketing collateral
- Ability to think strategically but get hands dirty in achieving sales while working with sales force
- MBA with marketing focus
- Has knowledge of commonly used sales and marketing concepts, practices and procedures in Internet marketing, understands search engines, understands databases
- Top-notch marketing skills with clear understanding on line marketing strategies, print visual media and content delivery models
Responsibilities
- Lead the business plan development for Srijan
- Prepare strategy for marketing Srijan globally, including online and offline campaigns, even with bootstrapped/start-up budgets
- Blog profusely on Srijan’s official blog, and in the process create your own personal brand
- Develop “business partnerships” and startup “sales channels” in USA, Europe, Australia, Africa and Middle East
- Oversee and direct all aspects of on-line and off-line marketing campaigns for global markets, specifically USA and Europe
- Implement ‘leads generation campaigns’ for revenues and business growth
- Build upon Srijan’s penetration into the international ‘donor and non-profit’ sector, to get access to large ‘developmental projects’ from World Bank, UNDP, and similar organisations
- Get your hands-dirty with writing responses to RFPs from international agencies
- Train, develop, and motivate all online marketing personnel for various marketing processes
- Research to identify new products and productised services that Srijan could offer globally
- Lead the brand essence and brand position development
