We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic and diligent people to join our team of Python and Rails programmers. This is a chance to work with a highly skilled and versatile team on some of the leading Web 2.0 technologies of our times.

Successful candidate will possess a significant number of the following knowledge and skills:

• Solid experience with Ruby on Rails. Other areas should be very strong to balance a lack of experience here
• Experience with Django, Grok or other similar frameworks is a big plus
• Proficiency in one or more of: Ruby, Python, PHP5 is necessary
• Interest and familiarity in open source tools and technologies
• Demonstrable contribution to open source software
• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Experience in designing and developing large scale software web systems
• Familiarity with the *nix environment and use of development tools like Eclipse, SubVersion
• Advanced knowledge of internet technologies and application development in the web environment including web servers and understanding of object-oriented concepts and dynamic languages, in particular as these relate to developing applications for the web
• Knowledge of front-end technologies and techniques: CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
• Some familiarity with software build tools such as Capistrano
• Interest in practicing agile development, especially TDD
• A passion for programming, and a desire to learn
• Open, collaborative personality, flexibility and ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability and desire to work very closely with other team members
• Demonstrated ability to plan complex development tasks and bring such tasks to successful completion.
